GLX hosts The Big Feed Quiz of the Year 2026

On Thursday 22nd October 2026, we hosted our first-ever corporate charity quiz at the Lion & Castle in Norwich City Football Club, welcoming 25 teams from the local business community for an evening of trivia, entertainment, and fundraising.

With plenty of competitive spirit, some creative challenges, and an overwhelming show of generosity, the evening was a fantastic success, with over £7,000 raised for The Feed!

About The Feed

The evening was held in support of The Feed, a Norwich-based charity dedicated to tackling poverty, hunger and homelessness, while helping people build confidence, develop skills, and move towards a brighter future.

We were delighted to welcome The Feed’s CEO, Amy Griffiths, and Relationship Manager, Amy Bramble, who opened the evening by sharing more about the charity’s work and the difference it makes to people across our local community.

Plus, a selection of food was also provided by The Feed at half-time, giving our guests the chance to sample their delicious catering!

A Night of Quizzing, Creativity and Competition

With 25 teams competing for the title of Big Feed Quiz of the Year champions, the competition was fierce from the outset.

Teams tackled eight rounds of questions covering a wide range of subjects, putting their general knowledge, teamwork, and competitive instincts to the test.

One of the evening’s most memorable challenges was Quizine, our special table round, which invited teams to recreate a dish or culinary masterpiece using nothing but Play-Doh and their imagination.

The results were nothing short of spectacular, with some brilliantly inventive creations that exceeded all our expectations!

Alongside the quiz, guests had the opportunity to take part in bingo, a raffle, a silent auction and a live auction, with a fantastic selection of prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters, and the enthusiasm and generosity shown throughout the evening played an enormous part in achieving our fundraising total.

And the Winners Are…

After eight rounds of quizzing, one creative challenge, and plenty of friendly competition, Yellow Brick Mortgages emerged victorious, securing first place with an impressive 70 points!

The team took home the coveted Big Feed Quiz of the Year trophy, along with a winners’ hamper, having narrowly beaten Mills & Reeve, who finished in second place with 68 points, and in very close joint third place, Rudlings, Swarm Recruitment and Wilby Jones all finished on 67 points to share the final podium position.

Of course, no charity quiz would be complete without a wooden spoon award!

In a wonderfully ironic twist, The Rolling Scones, representing The Feed themselves, finished in 25th place and took home the wooden spoon.

While there could only be one winning team, the real success of the evening was the incredible total raised to support The Feed’s work across our local community.

An event of this scale would not have been possible without the support and generosity of so many individuals and businesses.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle and auctions. Your contributions helped us raise an incredible amount for a cause that makes a real difference in our community.

Our thanks also go to the team at the Lion & Castle at Norwich City Football Club, for hosting us, and to our fantastic GLX team who volunteered their time to help make the event run smoothly, from welcoming guests and coordinating activities to supporting the fundraising throughout the night.

And, of course, a very special thank you to all 25 teams who joined us; your enthusiasm, kindness, and generosity made the evening such a memorable occasion.

What began as an idea to bring Norfolk businesses together for an evening of friendly competition became something much bigger. Thanks to everyone involved, The Big Feed Quiz of the Year raised over £7,000 for The Feed, helping to support the charity’s continued work across Norwich and Norfolk.

As our first-ever charity quiz, we couldn’t have hoped for a better outcome, and we’re incredibly proud of what our local business community achieved together.
