Senior Accountant

Take full control of your workload as you shape your career towards managing your own client portfolio at your pace. You’ll manage your time and deadlines your way, in a collaborative environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
You’ll be a newly/recently qualified accountant looking for a clear path to progress to client manager, with hands-on client exposure and development opportunities, working directly with clients, and supporting the training of junior accountants to build your leadership experience.
With hybrid working options available and opportunities to be occasionally based on client sites, you’ll successfully demonstrate GLX values, working proactively on a varied workload and adding real value to clients and building strong relationships within a supportive environment.

What you’ll do
You’ll assist client managers with their diverse portfolio of clients, covering individuals, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
You’ll be involved in the full accounts preparation process, from bookkeeping and management accounts to VAT, corporation tax, and personal tax returns.
You’ll provide support to clients, resolving queries and offering advice, while also helping to develop and train assistant accountants to give you valuable experience in mentoring and leadership, and prepare you for the next step in your career.
What you’ll need
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in accountancy practice
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadline and priorities
